£16M NMW Breaches To Be Repaid: Recruitment Sector High Risk
Following an investigation by HMRC, in February the Department for Business and Trade revealed that a total of 524 businesses had failed to correctly pay the national minimum wage. The total amount that has to be repaid to workers is almost £16million, together with financial penalties of up to 200% of the underpayment.
